This is a 5-core balanced connection cable that uses four types of high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors: 6N-OFC, C1011, PCOCC, and OFC.
While inheriting the structure of the 4266 designed in 2009, we tried to replace the materials and further refined the sound balance.
The 5066 continues to use the PCOCC used in the 4266.
PCOCC (Pure Crystal Ohno Continuous Casting Process) was developed by Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. in 1986 using the OCC method devised by Professor Atsumi Ohno of Chiba Institute of Technology, and was produced as a conductor for audio-related equipment, but production ended in 2013. The 5066 will be the final product to use PCOCC in the GOURD brand.
